Testing and Inspection Services
JTL America provides testing and inspection services to the automotive, aerospace, and orthopedic industries. The testing facilities at JTL America are globally accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board. Specifically, we hold the accreditation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 which is the global standard of quality governing the operation of testing laboratories. Our laboratories are staffed with knowledgeable engineers and technicians with decades of experience in all of the industries we serve. You can view a list of our testing services below and visit the individual links for more information.
JTL America boasts a comprehensive mechanical testing laboratory featuring MTS Systems servohydraulic and electromechanical load frames. Our capability includes static testing and fatigue testing up to 30Hz, in axial, biaxial, and torsional loading configurations. Tests are conducted under force, displacement, or strain control in combination with auxiliary equipment including environmental chambers, extensometers, saline baths, and supplemental data acquisition. With force capacities ranging from ounces to tons, our equipment can test anything from the most delicate medical device to robust automotive structural components. The mechanical test laboratory at JTL America is globally accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and offers one of the most expansive collection of ASTM and ISO accredited test methods in the orthopedic industry.
Using state of the art Unholtz-Dickie vibration tables, the engineers at JTL America provide vibration testing services to assess a component’s performance and durability characteristics under real-world conditions. This includes testing of components and assemblies used in the automotive and aerospace industries at frequencies up to 3000Hz, shock up to 60g, and in environmental conditions from (-58°F to +350°F) at up to 98% humidity. The vibration test laboratory at JTL America is globally accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board ISO/IEC 17025:2017 which is the global standard of quality governing the operation of testing laboratories. JTL America provides dimensional measurement and inspection services using ATOS Blue Light 3D Scanning. The ATOS system provides a non-contact measurement solution for components difficult to measure with traditional CMM equipment. Customers are provided with a complete digital component scan in STL format, which is useful for quality control inspections or reverse engineering. Visit the link above to learn more about 3D scanning technology, and specifications used at our accredited testing facilities.
JTL America also provides dimensional measurement and inspection services using Nikon X-Ray CT technology. The Nikon X-Ray CT system providers users with detailed internal views of objects to measure their structural integrity. This ability to view an object internally also provides valuable information on dimensions, soldered or welded connections, or voids in cast and molded components.
